“She turned to face him and noticed that he was already awake. Her body was sore in a good way from the way that Po had worked it out the night before. Every part of her tingled in the aftermath of sexual bliss.She touched his cheek with the palm of her hand and kissed his lips. With Po, her life had been rebirthed. She didn’t feel as though she was living in a fog of grief anymore.“Is this wrong?” she asked.Po shook his head. “Nothing about this is wrong, ma. Scarlett and A’shai aren’t coming back. We aren’t cheating. They’re gone. We’re here. So why can’t we be happy together?”Po’s words made perfect sense to her, and suddenly, any reservations she had about being with him were erased. Po spread her legs with ease and climbed on top of her, but he froze when he heard the faint sound of the electronic lock click open. Liberty felt him stiffen, and she frowned in confusion.“What’s wrong?”His hand covered her mouth, and his expression went from loving to cold.
