The history of philosophy and the history of theology have much in common, and if the theologian will study the history of philosophy it may be the means of saving him from many extremes and many errors. Philosophy has made important contributions to almost every department of theology. In the following departments it has certainly made important. contributions: The Nature of God; The Nature of Man; God's Revelation to Man; Man's Duties to God; Man's Duties to Man; The Doctrine of a Future State.
